As we near voting in the national election just two months away, Walking in The Word will focus on readings, prayers, and assembly songs that could be used in worship services, prayer vigils, printed in newsletters, and devotions either in the weeks preceding or following the election. We hope that these suggestions might deepen our understanding and relationships, even when significant differences of views and opinions exist. We call on our one God, the God of all people, to align our hearts with God’s justice and to unite us all around the cross.
