Transfiguration of Our Lord / Last Sunday after Epiphany
Listening in the Fog
It’s an astounding scene: Jesus on the mountain with Peter, James, and John. Elijah and Moses appear. Jesus’ appearance is transformed. This is not an ordinary day with Jesus! Then the cloud fogs everything up—which is perhaps more similar to our experience of faith than beholding Jesus in all his glory.
